Occupational Therapy

We provide individual occupational therapy services at a rate of $130 per session. Therapy sessions include 50 minutes of direct therapy with you and/or your child and 10 minutes for documentation. Therapy sessions are generally provided in the clinic. No new clients are being accepted at this time. Only book if you have an existing file set up with us.

Parent Coaching

Each of us carries a unique set of experiences, patterns and emotions that ultimately impacts all of our relationships including our relationships with our children. Furthermore, each child is a unique blend of capabilities and curiosity, requiring the right guidance to fully flourish. Sometimes, as parents/caregiver, it can feel overwhelming to provide this guidance on your own. Parent coaching involves sessions with one or both parents (or any primary caregiver) in an effort to foster goal achievement related to parenting. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for caregivers to explore their current parenting experience and to provide education and tools to create a calmer, happier family dynamic. With knowledge in a range of areas including attachment, trauma, anxiety, depression, and child development we provide a comprehensive, individualized approach for your family.

Therapeutic Counselling

Occupational therapists have a rich history of promoting mental health and can provide therapeutic counselling to support the emotional growth and development of children, youth, and their families. (Champagne & Gray, 2011; Champagne, T. 2011) Each individual carries a unique set of experiences and emotions, requiring the right support to navigate life’s complexities. Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment, assisting individuals in navigating challenges, developing coping strategies, and fostering resilience. With knowledge in areas such as attachment, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and social difficulties, therapeutic counselling can be used to empower children, youth and adults to explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and improve their overall well-being.

Payment Schedules

Visits are scheduled and invoiced one month at a time. Invoices are sent out the beginning or middle of the month for the previous month of services (e.g. a parent would receive an invoice early December which would include all of November’s visits) and are due upon receipt. Payment is accepted by credit card, cheque, PayPal, e-transfer or cash.

Reimbursement/Funding of Services

We are not contracted with any insurance companies, which allows us to provide the personalized service and dedicated attention that our clients deserve. We do, however, provide you with itemized invoices that include all the information you will need to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Fee for Cancellation

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hour’s notice will be billed $65. Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hour’s notice may be rescheduled with no charge. However, we must ensure that the scheduled therapy sessions are consistent, frequent cancellations may result in termination of services in order to accommodate other clients.

Meetings/Travel

We are happy and eager to collaborate with members of your child’s intervention/medical team. You may request our attendance at meetings (doctor’s visits, IEP, etc.,) and we will attempt to arrange our schedule to be present when possible. Time attending meetings is charged at $160 per hour.
